Scarlett Johansson, American actress (born on November 22, 1985, in New York City New York) is awaited for her recognition due to her abilities to perform across various genres from historical dramas, thrillers and action-packed films. Johansson lived within New York City as the daughter an architect and the owner of a production company. She and her twin brother Hunter were the youngest siblings of four. At the age of seven years old, her love of acting had grown. Her first audition was for commercials. Her interest in acting grew quickly, and she was soon after in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. In the Off-Broadway play Sophistry she worked with Ethan Hawke. She then made her first film appearance on screen in North (1994) which was directed by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson subsequently appeared in Just Cause (1995) but her debut came in Manny & Lo (1996) which was a film about abandoned sisters who escape. Next, she received critical praise for portraying a teenage girl who had experienced an accident which resulted in her being with a blemish on screen in The Horse Whisperer (1998). As a child she fell in love with acting. Smith's parents helped her with finding her first stage role when she was just six. She was in the Dannon yogurt commercial. As with many actresses who started out, she decided to perfect her skills in the field of theatre. She took part in different projects within the USA as she made her stage debut. She graduated from at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
